We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Amazelab to bring you an incredible STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) competition.
The competition is designed for children of all ages to design and create both a plaque and a poster which celebrates STEAM in the South Yorkshire region.
Our Shining Stars of STEAM competition entries will all be displayed on a gigantic map at our event on 24th November 2021 at Gulliver’s Valley Theme Park Resort with the winner being announced at our celebration ceremony at the end of the day. Competition winners will be invited to attend the ceremony and receive their prize.
To take part, we are asking you to create a plaque and/or a poster to celebrate your favourite Star of STEAM from South Yorkshire using our templates which can be downloaded using the links to the right.
You can focus on a person, place, invention or business that you think we should showcase at our event on 24th November.

All entries will be displayed on our gigantic map, just like the one below which will be located at the entrance of North Star 2021 for everyone to see.

Don’t forget to include the first name of the young person/people entering and the age, as well as contact details for the teacher or parent/guardian we can contact if you win.
How many times can I enter?
You can enter as an individual, a school, class or group as many times as you like.
What age is this competition for?
Entries are welcome from all young people under the age of 18.
What if I am not from South Yorkshire, can I still enter?
Of course, but your Shining Star of STEAM will need to be from South Yorkshire so we can fit them on our map.
I am not coming to North Star 2021, will I still be able to see the display?
Yes we will make sure the display is shared with everyone who enters, and we hope to make the display permanent somewhere in South Yorkshire after the event.
